This is a free ANZAC Day group ride for all members of the Melbourne Triathlon community. “Melbourne Triathlon” was created in 2018 to bring together Melbourne triathletes and Melbourne triathlon clubs to share resources, race and train together and build a community that goes beyond each individual club.
Wether you are a seasoned athlete, or stepping out into your first season, there will be a pace and distance that suits everyone on this ride. If you could please sign up via the registration link at the bottom of the page, a team captain and pacing options will be organised based on the numbers we have. There will be a quick safety talk and grouping into distance and ability on the morning at 6:35am and you will be assigned a captain who will look after you and your group for the whole distance. If you feel like you are unsure, then please feel free to call or email Coach Steve to discuss your options.
It will be a very cruisey ride with flat or hillier ride options all with a great bunch of people, and ending with the option of all meeting up for a cyclist sized breakfast and great coffee back at Jerry’s after you finish.
The ride will start and end at Jerry’s Milk Bar (345 Barkley St, Elwood) and take you out along the iconic Beach Rd route to complete the Humphries Rd/Two Bays Rd loop & Mt Eliza loop for the full 100km, and there are designated turning points along the way for those people who would like to do 60km, 80km or 88km.
