FIRE RELIEF RIDE
Saturday Feb 29th the Davey Black Squad will head into a fire affected area of country Victoria and do a long ride through the countryside. We’ll stay for lunch, and take esky’s and organise to shop local and put some income back into the community. If you have family or friends in a fire affected area that you think would be suitable for this, please drop Coach Steve and email below and let him know the location. LAST WEEK TASMANIAN CADBURY HALF MARATHON & 10KM
Katrina Carr ran the half marathon, then went out and ran another 10km to enjoy a run with Amanda! Amanda Bell did the 10km, which actually turned out to be 11km, and came home strong to finish 19th in her age group.
HAWTHORN CRIT & BALLARAT NATIONALS GRAN FONDO
George Wright had a big week of racing: Wednesday was @hawthorncycling Criterium and she won 1st place in C-grade. Saturday was @cyclingaustralia Ballarat Road Cycling Nationals Gran Fondo where she finished in 4th place in her first road race. Sunday she hit up the @2xutriathlonseries race 3 in St Kilda and finished 4th in the Standard Distance race. Huge week. Great work George!

BRIGHTON 2XU RACE COURSE SWIM/BIKE BRICK Meeting at Green Point Brighton https://goo.gl/maps/2FN4hmRXiH8FTrv49 Due to the unpredictable weather that we are currently experiencing, this session may need to be altered on the morning. Current predictions are for smoke haze and a potential morning thunderstorm, so please come to the session prepared for either a swim/bike or just a bike session. I suggest parking in the side streets where there is free parking. SWIM/BIKE BRICK Short 750m Race Pace Swim 40km Bike as 20km race pace + 10km easy + 10km race pace
SWIM/BIKE BRICK Long 1500m Swim as 750m easy + 750m solid race pace 60km Bike as 20km race pace + 20km easy + 20km race pace BIKE As per Training Peaks for those doing Bike only session. If we have to cancel the swim in the morning and do a ride only, there will be bike options graded to suit each ability.
