SLOW FLOW

A mix of Hatha and Vinyasa at a slow pace

You will be guided through a sequence of poses designed to build your strength and flexibility at a meditative pace, holding postures for a few breaths and slowly moving to the next one.

These classes will help you to slow down mindfully while working your deepest tissues and calming your mind.

DYNAMIC FLOW

A mix of Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa

Designed to give your muscles a workout and improve your balance and flexibility through dynamic sequences.

You can expect sun salutations to warm up and prepare your body and sequences with specific targets (e.g.: core, legs, shoulders, etc.)

HATHA

Flow & athlete recovery

Hatha encompasses most postural yoga styles and includes the practice of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing).

Generally relaxed, gentle and slow, this is a great starting point for beginners. Poses are held for multiple deep breaths and your teacher guides you through each pose with postural cues to help you along the way.

YIN & MEDITATION

Slow and relaxed with long holds

Slow-paced Yoga with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time. Yin Yoga helps to lengthen and strengthen the connective tissue of the body, including the the tendons, fascia, and ligaments. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility.

Providing a more meditative approach to yoga, the goal is awareness of the inner self, and highlighting universal, interconnecting qualities.

KIDS & TEEN YOGA

Based on child & adolescent fitness and movement protocols. Age appropriate mindfulness, exercises and activities empower kids and teens to love their body and respect the space that it moves in.

Developing better movement, balance, strength, hand-eye coordination and mobility, these sessions are fun and functional, allowing them to explore the ways their bodies can move and ways to control and awaken their minds.

Biography

My parents discovered and began to practice meditation while I was in my early teens. As my both my parents began their spiritual journeys I developed my own curiosity for understanding the world around me. I first started practicing asana at fifteen to improve the look and feel of my body. As I matured into my early twenties and gained more insight into the ancient philosophy of yoga I deepened my understanding of myself and the world around me.

In 2012 I went to India in search of greater understanding and completed my Level One Yoga Teacher Training. Since then I have completed 50 hours of Pre-Post Natal specific training and a CERT III and IV in Physiotherapy Assistance. I have a deep interest in exercise and conditioning and am developing athlete specific classes to aid athletes in finding greater balance to improve their performance, health and longevity.

Yoga has become a through line in all aspects of my life and I am honoured to share my love and experience of yoga with those around me.
